Weekend Wrap Up

Oak Tree finishes its meet with Tyler Baze on top. Tyler won 29 races to beat out Victor Espinoza with 25 wins, and Joe Talamoe with 20 wins. A new meet begins Wednesday at Hollywood Park where everyone gets a fresh start. Kent Desormeaux is off to a good start at Churchill Downs winning Saturday's Ack Ack stakes aboard Istan. He won the race by 8 3/4 lengths and is currently the meets second leading rider. Robby Albarado also had a stakes victory with Rolling Sea who won the grade 2 Chilukki. It is good to see Kent doing so well. He is a very nice guy and extremely talented rider. I love his colorful commentaries after he's won a race, and yes he really does talk like that.
